Mean?

Being mean is relative you utter out.
No!!! Your opinion doesn't count.
This you yelled at the uttermost pitch of your voice.
Well, if you are not patient enough you might as well take your leave.
This you say with an angry tone of voice.
I am too busy with life so I cannot give you the attention and love you long for.
This you proclaim in a cold manner.
You see me hurt through your numerous knife-stabbing words.
You see my heart bleed.
You see heavy tears of grief roll down my eyes.
You feel the agony and distress your harmful words cause me.
Yet you question if you are mean?
You see yourself to be too perfect. Perfect with no iota of imperfection.
Too perfect to be embedded with any atom of fault.
Spotless and without blemish you like to call yourself.
You say "This is who I am and I can do nothing to change it."
You dump the blame on your temperament.
You hold steadfast to the claim that you are not mean.
What then qualifies one to be mean? You tell me.
